Following the recent visit of George Osborne (Chancellor of the Exchequer) Kerax are pleased to announce that their investment in new plant and equipment continues.
Kerax, the Northwest wax blender has agreed to purchase a bespoke 50,000 litre stainless steel blending and storage vessel from British manufacturer ‘Stainless Tanks Ltd’ of Doncaster. The new vessel will form part of a recent significant investment at the factory in the manufacture and processing of Emulsifiable Waxes and CS Alcohols to be used in the Personal Care and Pharmaceutical industries for the production of creams and ointments. Kerax products, such as petroleum jelly and liquid paraffin are already used in these sectors of industry and form a key part of the company’s product portfolio.
Kerax has a policy to purchase domestically manufactured goods, whenever possible, for its ongoing series of upgrades at their Chorley factory. The new investment will assist in the company’s growth plans and form a base which has seen employment at the site grow from 22 to nearly 50 in the past few years.
Stainless Tanks Ltd of Doncaster are recognised as one of the UK’s most respected suppliers of stainless steel fabrications and tanks. They have many years’ experience building and supplying stainless steel tanks of up to 250,000 litres capacity to many well-known, household name companies.
Kerax chose to get the tank from Stainless Tanks after a careful and diligent selection process in which their quality, price and service ranked them high and Kerax always aims to source as close to home as possible. On delivery the tank will be housed alongside the existing tanks at the 16000m2 site in Chorley enabling Kerax to continue to offer their customers unparalleled service, quality and stock availability.
